Even though this story is free, save your time to read another book... This book was absolutely BORING and the subtitle "A Historical Romance" leads you to believe the story is something it is not. Granted, there are a few PAGES relating to two separate romances between four sub-characters in the story, however this story is NOT a ROMANCE novel. This book is more of a historical depiction of life in early Boston while living among the straight-laced Puritans, the evil personage of one of those Puritans, the hatred of the Puritans towards anything to do with the Roman Catholic faith and their mistrust of and superiority over native Americans, and the every-day life of the Knight of the Golden Melice.

This book should be placed in the History section.This is not a romance novel.It is an epistle (religous)? I began and stopped. I decided to read again. This book is boring, made me very annoyed and all the characters leaves me cold. I am punishing myself as I continue, 63% read already. Remove this book from 'historical romance'.
