Having always admired the King's Singers, I was keen to have an example of their performances. This collection seemed a good option covering all sorts of different music.
However, I have been very disappointed, and have now given the CDs away ! Most of the discs are of 'popular' music, and to a large extent miss out the excellent performances of classical music of all periods. In addition, alot of the tracks have a backing accompaniment. I was looking for the unaccompanied sound.
I should probably have looked mroe carefully at the CD track lists, and if they are your sort of music, this may be a good buy.

There are currently two 5-disc sets from the King's Singers titled "King's Singers Collection." I ordered this one thinking I was getting the set of new material, but this collection is actually five of their old albums: "Beatles Connection, Tribute to the Comedian Harmonists, Folk Songs of the British Isles, Madrigal History Tour, and Believe in Music." These were good albums, and if you don't have them this is a super deal. But if like me you already own most of these and you were looking for the 5-disc set of NEW material then don't order this. That "King's Singers Collection" is under the Signum label.
