Fun:
I've always been a fan of the Capcom fighters, and it's only recently that I've explored the SNK line of fighters, with Neowave being my latest acquisition.
Graphically...it's OK. Better than in previous versions of the 2D franchise, but nothing special given that the arcade version runs on new hardware.
Controls are slightly different to Capcom's offerings and timing is more strict. A few sessions and you'll get back in the groove.
The system chosen is perhaps disappointing. The previous systems for specials has been split up and reduces fighting potential. Very limiting for those used to the previous games.
Part of the fun of these games, for me anyway, are the comments made by the characters after they win. That is absent from this. Eh?
There is no story either, though there are pieces of storyboard as it were.
There are better KOF games out there which makes this look very average. Fun can still be had but not to the extent of previous efforts. A missed opportunity really.

Fun:
I could enjoy this game a lot more, if the two joysticks would work for something. The joysticks are completly useless, which is a problem for people like me, which gives a lot of use to this device in KOF games, because for me, turns much more easy to manage the characters. Although I can perform all the attacks, but it costs me more time and efforts with the annalogic. Once you have surpass this problem, you discover a game that doesn't have team musics, but stage musics. The graphs are good, The strokes are good, and the colour of the outfits very good. Therefore, for the price of this game, I think you make a good choice if you buy it. However, for me, the best KOF game is the KOF 11 without any doubt, and also the best game I ever play in every console.
