Product Description

Product Description

Since the early 1900s the identification of the 17th Karmapa has been mired in controversy, causing a schism in the Karma Kgyu sect. Two competing factions within the sect have recognized different candidates. To help sort out the competing claims, Sylvia Wong believes that an unbiased voice can be found in the past namely, in the prophetic words of previous Karmapas. Not only does she offer the Karmapas's words of pervious Karmapas, but using a combination of accurate translations, sound interpretation, proper marshals new evidence and analysis to show that those predictions have come true in our time.

The best poets, Dharmatheachers, gave there commentaries in this Book. It is clearly showing how to analize the poetry from The 16th Karmapa and getting an answer for the future of Tibetan Buddhism.

Sad. In order to justify her belief as to who is the true 17th Karmapa, Wong has used the crude technique of character assination of very good people who happen to hold the opposing view , intermingled with arcane interpretation of old Tibetan texts-never an easy task for objective analysis. Unfortunately, at heart, a very non-Buddhist judgemental approach to a controversial issue which deserves better
