But no illustrations! 18 Oct 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
The book is a good translation of the original text, but beware that there are no illustrations whatsoever! If you are interested in the original text than this is an excellent book. If you are looking for a bedside guide I think you should look elsewhere.

An education to read how 'ancient' India viewed sexual practices for the benefit of males AND females but also an insight into social mores.
The text is to be used as a tool to benefit those seeking pleasure but also a moral framework for r/ships. True it may puzzle some people, feminists and puritans in particular, for example the manipulation of males to gain female sexual pleasure, but also females towards males for the benefit of material wealth and sexual pleasures.
I was impressed with the easy, graceful transaltion of Burton.
