About the Author

Rudyard Kipling was born in Bombay on 30 December 1865 and made a significant contribution to English literature in various genres, including poetry, short story and novel. Nicola Bayley studied Art at St Martin's and the Royal College of Art. Nicola has won critical acclaim and many prizes for her beautifully illustrated and minutely observed pictures. She lives in London.
