Manchester City were taken over twice in the space of 18 months by overseas investors. The first by former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The second, by Sheikh Mansour, transformed the Club and allowed it to challenge the game's elite. This book, written by established and renowned Mancunian author Gary James, tells the inside story of City's transformation. With exclusive interviews with some of the key players behind the development of the Club, Gary's book delves into the stories that have unsettled many of the game's leading figures while also getting to grips with the reasons why one of the World's rchest men chose to invest in Manchester's Blues. This is a fascinating tale taking the Blues from midtable obscurity, with little hope of success, to one that has won major honours for the first time since the 1970s.
