The Journey 8 Feb 2005
Format:Paperback
Used the book with students with special needs as drama piece. They enjoyed talking about the journey of the boat, looking at the pictures and acting out the journey with props.I am using other books by Neil Griffiths as class books, creating our own tactile versions and our own storysacks for future use.

Excellent resource 30 April 2010
Format:Paperback
I bought this book to use as a stimulus for a 'Journeys' topic as I teach Nursery and Reception class. The text is written in a way that reflects the content, it gets wavy when talking about the water etc. Visually it was beautifully illustrated and a good story for sequencing skills. We had great fun making sound effects for various parts of the story and it also led into the children talking about times when they have lost something precious. I like the ending where the boy finds the boat after it had been on its amazing journey, its a story about hope and adventure, one that I would thoroughly recommend.

The Journey 30 Sep 2006
Format:Paperback
My young son and I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Journey. He was enchanted by the calming story and the wonderful artwork. We have now started to read other books by Neil Griffiths. There is a good variety. Some are extremely entertaining whilst others have a great moral message. Carry on the good work.
