About the Author
Katie Paterson lives in the Midlands and is the mother of two grown-up children. She has an ambition to help keep reading 'alive' for children, and was inspired to write the Chronicles of Valonia by a lifelong fascination with the Arthurian period and legends.

I found this book by accident whilst I was just browsing in the lakes- to be honest I bought it just for something to read whilst waiting for someone. I'M GLAD I DID.I was hooked from the first page. I would recommend it to anyone!

This was an excellent read. If you found yourself enthralled by Harry Potter this will be a perfect replacement. The book leaves you guessing all the way through with some really exciting and unexpected outcomes. As the pace and intensity of the book increased I found myself totally engrossed
