I recently loaned David Brennan's book "The Israel Omen" to a friend who felt his faith in God was threatened by comments he'd heard made by some "Experts."
The reason I wanted my friend to read "The Israel Omen" was to remind him that there are such things as co-incidences but when co-incidences happen over and over again, they cease being co-incidences. There are far too many things that have happened to Israel and the Jews as a whole to be mere co-incidence--especially as they were prophesied centuries ago in the Bible. David Brennan's "The Israel Omen" deals with those very "co-incidences".
Indeed, there is the famous and verified story of Frederick the Great who, when on his deathbed, called for a minister and told him that he needed proof there was a God. He reminded the minister that, as he didn't have long, he could only give him two hours to come up with the proof.
"I do not need two hours, sire," the man replied. "I can prove it in two words."
The king asked him to explain.
Without hesitation he answered, "The Jews."
The minister himself knew that "co-incidences" regarding fulfilled Bible prophecy applying solely to the Jewish people too frequently came to pass to be mere co-incidence.
Let's bear in mind the odds of ONE of those prophecies coming true, let alone ALL of them; and ones we have seen being fulfilled since 1948--EXcluding the ones we've seen coming to pass since 9/11! (See my review on Bill Salus' "Isralestine" dealing with the ones happing daily before our eyes.)
For example, there are about sixty different Old Testament prophecies of Jesus Christ, let alone all the other repeated ones and related references. The probability of eight such prophecies being fulfilled by Jesus have been estimated in "Science Speaks" (by Peter W.

Extremely interesting but very repetitive could have been condensed. People who are really interested in world affairs particularly with regard to Israel need to read this book.

You have got to read this and decide for yourself!!!!!! 6 May 2010
By Richard D. Cappetto - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is a remarkable book, What David Brennan does is look at the land of Israel from a Biblical perspective and who's land it is. He shows that the LORD YHVH gave the land to the Jewish people, and predicted that they would be apart from there land for a long time (maybe even predicting the date of their return). He shows how bible prophecy has been fulfilled in these modern times with the return of the Jew's to Israel. And that this is their land the promised land. Than what Brennan does is show that anyone, who tries, to stand in front of God's Promise, to the Jews, such as the USA pushing for Israel to give up land for peace, leads to a series of weird disasters -coincidences? Or are they coincidences; They may be God Judgement, on those who are standing in the way of the Jew's right to the Holy Land. That is the case that Brennan lay's out and he does a convincing job showing the events (conference etc.,), the disasters and the biblical evidences to back it all up. Let me give one example. On January, of 1994 President Clinton meets Syrian President Assad, they discuss the return of the Golan Heights from Israel. The following day Israeli Prime Minister Rabin warns the public to be prepared to return the Golan Heights. than the highest ever recorded earthquake in an urban area, strikes the U.S., causing the second most costly destruction caused by a natural disaster in U.S. history. I knew of theories such as this, but I did not know how closely tied to an event the natural disaster's are: And we are not talking about run of the mill disasters, but ones that are historic, such as Katrina, the great flood of texas and the perfect storm. You have got to read this and decide for yourself if this event's were coincidences or the judgement of the LORD!!!!!!!

Thought-Provoking 20 April 2010
By Clarke Kissel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I was not going to read this book after receiving it as a gift because too many religious books deal with the Apocalypse and what will happen in the future based on wild, subjective interpretations of biblical verse. While thumbing through the pages I found this to be, in my opinion, fact-based and well-researched. The parallels between natural and man-made disasters and events surrounding the ongoing negotiations with Israel are quite fascinating. Turned out to be a very interesting read.

Absolutely Worth Reading! 4 May 2010
By DBA Susy - Published on Amazon.com

This book is an excellent read. It is well-documented, which the other reviewer mentions.

I think Brennan is bringing into view a whole new perspective on Middle Eastern policy, and tying it to end times eschatology in the way that he does makes the whole book staggering in its implications.

Absolutely thought-provoking and soul-searching.

I highly recommend it.

The Israel Omen 4 Nov 2010
By Debrobeaudean - Published on Amazon.com

This book explains how God is telling us that he does not approve of the plan to take the land that he gave to Israel away from them.
The warnings began under Bush I, with the Perfect Storm that threw half of his Kennebunkport house into the ocean. The author connects all the humongous natural disasters to groups efforts to take land from Israel to form a Palestinian state. God still uses nature to tell the people of the world not to mess with Israel. I wonder what Obama is going to say this week in Indonesia as God has wreaked havoc on that nation with an Earthquake, a tsunammi and several volcano eruptions? There is a plan to force them to give land to the Palestinians..
This book connects God's signs to man's actions to work against his plan for his chosen people. It is a very good book that I highly recommend be read so you can explain that God is working at this time to speak to us.

EXCELLENT READ 28 July 2010
By Patriot - Published on Amazon.com

This book ties together the relation between how we treat Israel and the disasters that befall us as nations.
After reading this, you will have a greater understanding of why we suffer and that God meant it when He said He raises up kings and He takes them down.
These disasters have happened directly in relation to how leaders of nations have pressured Israel to give away the land the Lord gave to them.
