5.0 out of 5 stars The Best International Newspaper! 26 Feb 2011
This is THE BEST international newspaper available, and it is excellent on Kindle. While you are reading, you can just click at any time to jump back to the list of articles. And the writing is superb. It is the international version of The New York Times, and I have not yet found a paper that covers world news better or more thoroughly than this paper does. Highly recommended on its own, and highly recommended on Kindle! And it is much less overwhelming than The New York Times, on a daily basis.

This is not a review of the IHT as a newspaper. Obviously I think it's a great daily paper with insightful, well researched articles covering many international topics. I take it that you like it already in its print version otherwise you wouldn't be looking to download it to your Kindle.
The Kindle version is presented in a clear and easy to navigate layout. It does contain some, but not all of the images. Luckily there are none of the advertisements.
What does annoy me somewhat, though, is that not all of the articles of the print version are included in the Kindle version. For obvious reasons sections like the crosswords don't come in Kindle format. However, I am failing to understand why not all of the 'regular' articles are included. Not at least since the electronic version is not exactly cheap. The price in itself would't put me off buying it provided I got most the content of the print version.
Nevertheless, I regularly download the Kindle IHT edition. In my view, the IHT and the NYT are by far the best daily newspaper available for the Kindle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Old News 22 April 2013
On the 16th of April 2013 the IHT mentioned the two winners of the Boston marathon, which had occurred the previous day, but made NO MENTION of the unfortunate explosions which had occurred.

This is the only concrete example I have of news being a day or two late, and I'm not going to go back through the older issues to find more, but I have started to get the impression recently that the news has not been as new as it should.

I am looking for a newspaper that I can read on the way to work and be confident that I am up to speed on the most important events. The International Herald Tribune does not give me that confidence.

I emailed the help desk where they sent me a form letter stating that Kindle is a separate company, so it is unclear to me who controls the content on the Kindle edition.

The journalism is definitely decent, but for me the NEWs being NEW is a crucial consideration, and I will seek a different daily.
