5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining View of the Mythical World 12 Oct 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the second novel that I've read by Miriam Davison and I'm thoroughly impressed with the range of her work. In The Intercessor, we meet the newly divorced but very successful novelist named Abigail. She's just purchased a charming old home that calls to her on some very profound level. Within days of inhabiting her dream place, she meets the previous owner, Mrs. Hattie Gracefield, and that's when the adventure really takes off. There's a teaser at the start of the novel that really pulled me in and that's the idea that this story could really be true. I love that sort of invitation to suspend belief. Without giving too much away, I'll just say that the reader of the story meets all sorts of mythical beings that are both good and evil (e.g., fairies, brownies) and learns a number of important spells etc. It turns out that Abigail's got a mission in life that entails keeping things balanced in another domain. Find out how that happens. It's great fun and well written.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful story 6 Feb 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Couldn't believe my luck to find this wonderful book for free. It was an page turner and I read it in one sitting which us unusual. The story was very different and I found the spellcraft was really well thought out and engaging. I loved the character of Abigail and broke my heart when Clax departed. All in all a wonderful story for young and old alike. Thoroughly recommended.

Yes Miriam I have spoken with the trees.........
