I read this book as I have had contact with people that were close to Saddam Hussein, the author has fabricated most of what he has included in this book and copied the rest.
Mr Bashir may have been one of Saddam's numerous doctors, but he did not have the up close and personal relationship with Saddam that he professes.
I do believe he's just jumping on the bandwagon, if you want to read about Saddam the man, I suggest you try John Simpson, Con Coughlin or THE BLACK HOLE By Latif Yahia for true and honest accounts of Saddam the great and terrible.

Saddam regime and his sadistic Family. I was very excited to finally get a copy of this book and read all the details, but the style of writing wasn't that great, which made it annoying to read. It was disappointing. I am sure there are better written books detailing facts about the X regime in Iraq.
