Chimaira 31 Aug 2010
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This album is good but samey but I like it so it got four stars because four stars equals I like it

is it not like ressurecition because it is a slowl tempo almost sludgy losts of open bottom string playing and double bass drum
with passages of leady type things going on

how ever it kind of starts to sound the same after a few songs but I like the style of playing it is heavy and sort of groovy you could almost dance to it
but this album would haff been better wif some variety in it and lot more keyboard in it.

however it is still heavy and a solid realease with some interesting lead work though the rythm work is mostly just triple picked machine gun style work

you might get bored with it you might not it is a very album that some people might not like but some people will love

the Dvd bonus is quite good it give you a bhind the scenes of the making of the album which is ALWAYS insteresting
so that makes it slightly better.

I think stand out tracks

are

track one The Venom inside
Track four Secrets of the dead ( has some hearable synth)
Track 5 the disappearing sun is also pretty good

however everything else does tend to just sort of drift in to each other
I think however this is the Chimaira album I listen to the most
