After reading Dark Flame and Night Star, my expectations for the last book had somewhat declined. It seemed the storyline was just floating around and not really making a lot of sense as it changed so often, and Ever's indecisiveness was becoming tedious. However Everlasting was a breath of fresh air! The characters seemed to be back on track, and things finally began making sense, I literally couldn't put this book down and finished it within one sitting, I will definitely be reading it again as I enjoyed it so much. The series was ended beautifully and for anyone who had lost faith in the Immortals Series, this book will definitely restore it!

Its what we have all been waiting for, the final installment in Ever and Damen's epic journey from century to century and from good times to bad. We have witnessed it all.
We know that Ever and Damen after centuries of loosing each other are now only looking for the cure for them to be able to touch with out killing each other. Both are set on this one goal which they feel that, if fixed will change everything and they can start enjoying their eternal life together. However, knowing how much they want this with every fiber of their beings, we see that in the grand scheme of things it is not the right way to go about changing their future. It seems that everything that has gone before has just been a speck in the journey Ever and Damen were meant to take. Now is what counts and it is everything before which has culminated in this final journey which will let them have the everlasting love they deserve.
Remember the crazy lady from the muddy, dead side of Summerland from the last book? Well, she is key to Ever and Damen's journeys to both find out their past, a past they both once did not know, and also seek out and change their destiny in order to correct their karma and bad choices.
We see Ever, usually the one making the wrong decisions and trusting the wrong people, having to show ever doubtful Damen that the path they are on is the right one in order to stop the same things happening again. We feel for Ever as she has to go on more than one journey and her strength and bravery shine through. We see how much she has grown and matured and most of all how she wants to right her wrongs so that she and Damen can have the life they have always wanted.
It all sounds a little cryptic, I know, but everything is about choice in this book, the final journey is the leap of faith, freedom and choice. Whether Ever and Damen take that choice is one you will have to read to find out :)
What I will leave you with though, is that the ending is beautifully done, satisfying and simplistically perfect. I know that I am going to miss reading about Damen and Ever a lot so I know I am not the only one who will be reading the series again many times to relive their tragic and epic love story all over again.

I went through the first five books last year and really enjoyed them. Book 1 (Evermore) was fantastic and had me hooked in, I read through the rest quite quickly and eagerly anticipated the final in the series.
I started this in my lunch break at work yesterday and managed to get to page 75 in the space of 45 minutes, I was absorbed, and even though it had been a while since I read the rest of the series, it soon came flooding back to me! I read it in every spare minute I could get and finished it today.
I found myself really enjoying it, the book dives into a lot more of Ever and Damon's history, explaining some of the choices they have made and letting us see more of their growth. A lot of things come to a conclusion and are rounded off nicely, which I am very happy with as it is the last in the series.
The writing flows well and is once again told from Ever's point of view. There is a lot of action to sink your teeth into and have you hanging off the edge of your seat.
It picks up pretty much where Night Star left off, Ever and Damon are after the antidote to their 'curse' still unable to properly touch, and everyone around them are trying to figure out the part they play in their destiny. Once again I love Romy and Rayne, the psychic twins - so weird yet loveable. Jude is a sweetheart and I feel so sorry for him, but we get to know more about him too.
The book really does tie up the story beautifully and left me feeling very satisfied at the end. I love how it comes together and think it is one of the best of the series. I am sorry to say goodbye to Ever and Damon, but also happy to see them on their way.
Overall a captivating novel that leaves you breathless and smiling.

Brilliant series
Bought as a present. Had to read it and eventuall read the series. Just a lovely read. Highly recommend it. It is supposed to be for teenagers, but we are all kids at heart

This saga is quite a good read. Great for teen readers who are fans of sci-fi type books. Not bad for the price either.
