The Grists have managed to capture the Craft in one slim volume with ease. It is an ideal book for the enquirer, beginner and a useful reference tool for the experienced. It could also be used to allay the fears of frightened relatives, when they fear thier loved ones are "dabbling" in dubious practices. The publishers have laid out the information in a clear manner and include some particularly pertinent drawings and photographs, I particularly like the pencil drawing of the rather buxom naked lady dancing aroud a fire with her chums, goes to show not all witches are skinny ! It reflects a set of practices and opinions of a particular stream of Wicca, that embraces the wider pantheons of Gods and Godesses from other cultures, e.g. Northern Tradition and Egyptian. This should not be seen as a be all and end all about Wicca, but would grace any self respecting Pagans bookshelf!
