Book Description

13 Oct 1988
William lived in an old house under a tree. One night a strong wind knocked over the tree and in the morning all the secret shadows were gone from the garden. Desolated, William decided to plant a new tree that would grow bigger and stronger and more beautiful each year. The book is published to coincide with the anniversary of the hurricane of October 1987. The royalties from the sale of the British edition will be sent to the Woodland Trust. A free "Grow with the Hurricane Tree" height chart will accompany this publication.

Bought the book as a story to tell young children on an outdoor activity day in the forest. They loved it. Book arrived on time in very good contion. Would recommend as story for 4-8 year olds to teach them about tree communities and how they are a link to other ages.
