This book is brilliant, fantastic, exceptionally good and just plain g-r-r-reat; it is exciting as well as moving, sad and with lots of something's-waiting-for-you.
Mr and Mrs Dearly have just got married and their dogs, Pongo and Missis, live with Nanny Butler and Nanny Cook. Missis gives birth to lots of little puppies (15 in total) including the Cadpig, Lucky and Patch. The owners help feed the little puppies because Missis couldn't feed all of the puppies. Mrs Dearly finds a lost Dalmatian who she names Perdita. The Dearly's look after the lost Dalmatian who is then helping feed the puppies as well. Later Perdita tells Pongo about her lost love - another liver-spotted Dalmatian and about how hard it was for her to be a mother of eight while she was so poorly fed and treated. Mr and Mrs Dearly are invited to a dinner party hosted by Cruella de Vil, with one side of her hair white and the other side black. When Cruella visits the Dearly's home and she sees the puppies she sends some people to take them away until they have lovely spots on their skin so her husband could make a big fur coat out it...
This book is an extremely high-quality book and a really recommended book to 9 - 13 year olds. I would rate this book about 8 or 9 or even 10. I hope you enjoy this book as much as me and that my summary so far doesn't give too much away.
