One of the gems of world music history

This collection of Yemeni classic music is probably one of the best in the remarkable French Parisians Insitut du Monde de la Arabe collection of CD's. A significant CD collection if ever there were one of music from the history of Arabic cultures. This CDs subject for this region is less religious in nature given that the subject of musical adoration is Qat - a plant chewed for its mild amphetamine qualities by a considerable portion of the Yemen population.
This CD's collection will make an esoteric background music for anyone meditative or contemplative. Perhaps this CD will enchant other listeners like it did me to travel not once but twice to Yemen for the full on experience. Buy this CD because it seems destined to go out of print and cultural memory. Music like this should not be lost on the commercial market or culturally to modernity. Ketch this CD while you can it is truely remarkable.
