Product Description

Gore-filled French zombie horror. When detective Mathias Rivoallan is murdered by a gang led by the Nigerian Markudi (Eriq Ebouaney), four of Rivoallan's colleagues (Aurelien Recoing, Claude Perron, Jean-Pierre Martins and Antoine Oppenheim) hatch a plan to avenge their friend's death by executing Markudi and his henchmen in an abandoned building. However, it soon turns out that the gangsters are the least of their worries when the building comes under siege from an army of flesh-hungry zombies, and the two sides must quickly bury their differences and band together to fight the bloodthirsty undead.

Product Description

Cops and criminals combine forces to halt the hordes of carnivorous cadavers in this award-winning Gallic gorefest. Bursting at the seams with wildly imaginative scenes of violence and dismemberment, this flesh-ripping zombie classic is guaranteed to quicken your pulse... if you still have one

4.0 out of 5 stars French Zombie Film so it's actually quite good! 20 Aug 2010
Format:DVD
Very full on and very violent in a RoboCop way as the violence in certain scenes just goes on and on but in a good way!

More violent than Mutants but not quite as scary or atmospheric, but still way better than anything coming from the US.

Recommended!

There is an "UNCUT" version released only in Germany so far but all of the extra 9 mins is at the beginning before it really gets going and is mainly talking! I would rather say it's an extended cut.

So you are not missing any of the gore/violence with this UK disc.

In fact I preferred the 93 min version as it got the action quicker which is really what we are all buying this for!

4.0 out of 5 stars A french 28 days later...... 9 Aug 2010
By godzilla78 VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
.....with more guns, gore and violence. Mix in some of the ingredients of the dawn of the dead remake and the left for dead game and you get the picture. The film has a frantic pace and the first scene is the discovery of a police officer found dead in a rubbish pit. At the funeral his collegues vow to kill the men responsible and track them down to a condemned and abandoned tower block on the city outskirts. The raid isn't too successful and the police find themselves at the mercy of the violent gang members. However, something stirs outside in the night and within minutes all hell breaks loose. The cops and gang members must reluctantly work together if they want to escape from the tower block alive. There are one or two scenes of complete overkill and plenty of blood to keep zombie fans happy. Don't really know to refer to them as zombies or not but they are like the infected in 28 days later. The film only really slows down in the middle for a short period before heading to a bloody and violent conclusion. Certainly one of the better zombie films to be released in the last few years and very enjoyable.

4.0 out of 5 stars the horde 28 Oct 2010
By jazz
Format:DVD
What starts off as a movie about cops raiding an african drugs gang holed up in a tower block ends up as a full on zombie gore fest...good story line, but could ave been a better end....a few niggles, no info on how the outbreak began and a bit more info on the characters would have helped, but overall a good film especially if you like your zombie movies fastpaced and very bloody...and you dont mind subtitles..similarities to 28 days/28 weeks later.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is a terrible movie
Some movies can be so bed that they are actually good. This is unfortunately not one of those movies. Substandard zombie movie.

In many ways this is a action movie that uses the zombies as a backdrop. They are stuck in one place due to budget constraints though. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
Starts a bit slowly and the initial storming of the tower blocks by the cops is a bit useless, but from here on in the action keeps getting better and better. Read more
