An Honorable Review for the Schoolboy 12 Sep 2010
By Kimball O'Hara - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
The BBC dramatization of La Carre's classic is well done, however I found myself wanting the entire novel in an unabridged format instead of the made-for-radio abridged version presented. (thus three stars instead of five).

The story, set late in America's role in Indochina, in 1975, presents a compelling view of the espionage business through Le Carre's studied pen. The characters are vivid, flawed, human and intrigue the listener as the professional cast bring them to life.

The 3 CD's will leave you wanting to read or re-read the original work and it's highly recommended.
