Searching from the UK for "games to improve spelling" for my child, Google (settings set for pages from UK) linked me through to amazon.co.uk to this item. Thank goodness I used the preview function so I could discover this book/game is actually written in American English! I will not be buying this item.

This book is a great way to get your kids to practise homonyms in a fun and interactive way.

It is a difficult subject to teach, so the best way for them to learn is by practising, and there is plenty of practice in this book with over 200+ homonyms to learn.

There are 5 sections of 45 questions each and then an extra credit section with more advanced questions. The sentences are simple but interesting and short enough to keep the focus on the word that is being taught.

The layout is clever offering immediate feedback on the answers but not allowing the child to get mixed up in the 'workings'. The answer pages also give helpful and explanatory hints if needed.

My son is 11 and although he got most questions right, it was good practice for him and he still stumbled on a few answers. It would be very useful for younger children and I expect even adults will have to think twice about some of the answers!

With so many questions and offering such a useful learning experience, this book is great value for money.

This is a fun word game that both kids and adults will enjoy with many quiz type questions. Some of these questions are easy but others will make you think, especially if, like me, it's quite a while since you were at school! I think it's just the thing for long trips and keeping kids amused in a constructive way - why dull their brains with mindless expensive video games when they can build their vocabulary and have fun with a game like this for so little?

By the way, I checked out this book on my old keyboard Kindle and it worked great. If you have one of the newer Kindles with touch screen or you download to your IPad it will be even easier to click through the questions and answers.
