Product Description

Review

Highly enjoyable. (Financial Times )

This book ... is a vivid record of a house at the centre of an artistic movement (Independent )

Penrose's book is a delight - informative, well structured and concise. (Argus )

Now available in paperback form although not a paperback as we know it. It's a big, handsome volume, beautifully made and over-flowing with especially commissioned photographs by Alen MacWeeney, alongside iconic photographs from the Lee Miller archive. (ETC Magazine )

Homes & Gardens, October 2001

'...paints a vivid picture of a couple who owned one of the best collections of modern Art in Britain and were responsible for establishing Surrealism here.' --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

Fascinating book 16 Aug 2010
Format:Paperback
This is a fascinating book giving real insight into the creative world of the surrealists at Farley Farm. It also brings to the fore the great contribution Roland Penrose made to British Modern Art and the real talent of Lee Miller. It is well written and excellently illustrated.
