A story of a devout Hindu man who falls victim to a charlatan posing as a holy man by asking him to find his daughter a husband, the lightness of this sharp, quick-witted comedy belies a cutting criticism of Indian post-war society.

Format: Blu-ray
This film has some charm and Ray probably had good reasons for wanting to lampoon the gullibility of people with regard to religious gurus, but this short film (about 60 mins) is pretty average in comparison to the great director's masterpieces such as The Big City and The Music Room. It is missing the humanity and emotional power of those films. The Blu ray looks great though, and if you love Ray, you'll probably want to see this one.
