Have a lot of Hollies CDs, one of my all time favourite groups. Decided to nuy this one and was not disappointed, it is great and they are just as good as always.

hollies sing dyland is one of there best rocordings good value for easy listening had a lot of trouble getting the record but amazon came good

I rate Bob Dylan as the best in pop/rock history, however his initial reputation was as a folk/protest singer, then many top artists put out his songs and he came to the forefront in the music world.
I know loads of Dylan from Peter, Paul and Mary, The Byrds, Joan Baez, Manfred Mann, The Searchers, Johnny Cash and Neil Young.
For me The Hollies are an unlikely band for a Dylan project, but I find their versions are well produced and provide another view on some great songs.
When this came out in 1969 some songs had not been put out offically by Dylan, some later surfaced on the 1975 release Dylan/The Band The Basement Tapes.
If you like Dylan give this a try, if you also like The Hollies, you can't go wrong!

When this album came out you could not imagine Dylans songs given the Hollies lush treatment but the result is fantastic.I must confess I was not a fan of Dylan,liked some of his songs but did'nt care for his voice,so this is how some of his most famous tracks sound given the big Hollies sound.I think a vast improvement,Allan Clarkes voice is superb and give these songs a new life.

I am not going to eulogise about Dylan here. Like all great artists he leaves his work open to reinterpretation.But the settings to these songs are poor and add nothing. Dont get me wrong I also love The Hollies. But there is a lack of passion in this album. Avoid and buy one of the numerous hits albums instead.
