“High Noon” meets “Murder at 1600”
Problems begin for the President's family when a skull is found buried at a Manhattan construction site once owned by the family. The skull, when facially reconstructed, bears an uncanny resemblance to Hitler. DNA analysis shows a familial relationship to the President of the United States. From that moment on, no one with knowledge of the skull is safe. Someone very important is determined to keep the 60-year old conspiracy buried, and that someone is so powerful he is able to operate with impunity from the law.

The president’s grandfather, Parker Strong, old and in ill-health, is still the power behind the throne, and he falls back on old methods of survival (“Death solves all problems!”) when the emerging scandal threatens him, his family and the political dynasty he has labored to create.

Two law enforcement officers - Reese, a NYC police lieutenant and Thompson, an FBI agent from upstate New York - both ex-Army Rangers and each with abundant personal baggage - are forced to confront the “family” on the family’s terms, and each pays a heavy price in the pursuit of justice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! 4 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
There is a quote by John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton that says-"Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

We see a perfect example of that in "The Hitler Project!
There is a little bit of everything in this book! You have political intrigue, murder, conspiracy, mystery and romance. Not only did I enjoy Reese and Thompson, the two ex-rangers that are the law enforcement officers working the case, but I also enjoyed getting to know the women in their lives, both current and ex's! Reese and Thompson have their hands full juggling their home life and their current case.
There was plenty of action in "The Hitler Project", once I started reading I didn't want to stop! The time just flew by as I was reading this book, I would get so involved in the story that I wouldn't realize how much time had actually passed. I thought I'd only been reading for 15-20 minutes, when in actuality I'd been reading for a couple of hours! For me that's the sign of a really good book. Enjoy!

1-10-12 Edited for clarification: I just wanted to clarify something, even though the title of this book says "The Hitler Project (The Screenplay Series: Book Three)" This book IS NOT written in a screenplay format, the formatting is like any other regular book. I believe it was converted from a screenplay, hence the wording. So if you were going to pass this up because you thought it was in the screenplay format, now you don't need to! :-)

Great book, I didn't want to put it down. For me, this is my favorite Brinling book so far. The two ex-rangers are great characters and would love to read more of their exploits.Political intrigue and action are two of my favorite genre's and I wasn't disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Family secrets unravelled 21 Jan 2012
By Louise - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This story is another fast paced John Brinling thriller with a very interesting twist on history dating back to World War II. At a construction site a skull is uncovered and then the mystery begins to unfold. This political thriller is an amazing story of political shenanigans from the start involving a prominent Washington family, indeed the first family. Two very likable former soldier war buddies now working in law enforcement and the FBI join forces to get answers to some troubling questions. They are committed to exposing what the first family is hiding. They are up against a powerful political machine that has the resources at its disposal to do what is necessary without exposing the truth. For me this story had everything I like in a good read. There are honest tough heroes, women who care about them, an historical connection and plenty of bad guys and intrigue that kept me turning pages.
