Possibly one of the more detailed histories of England. Once used to the 18th century language and sentence structure I found it an enthralling read. Much more detailed than any other history Ive read. Now I just need to find Volumes 2-6 !!!!

Without doubt the most enjoyable and interesting historical book I have read and will re-read. I cannot recommend it highly enough. How one man researched and amassed the wealth of detail in this tome is amazing. How he creates a page turner you don't want to put down is also a feat. You may think you do not like history. Read this and change your mind. There is something for everyone in this book. Treat yourself.
