This is a great glimpse into important historical events (American History). Most page layouts will win a second glance from the majority of jaded adolescents. This is fun, brief, and well organized. A must have!

My gifted 8 year old daughter LOVES this book! It presents history in a different, interesting format which makes it very accessible for children. The book seems to represent a wide worldview as well - it's not just Western history. Some of the subject material can be slightly scary for younger kids, may be better suited to older pre-teens. My daughter was a little scared by the depiction of the Bubonic plague, but it made for a good discussion afterwards. Highly recommended book!
