Just when you were starting to sober up after The Hangover… along comes The Hangover Part II--a deft dose of hair of the dog that will keep fans of the original screaming with laughter once again. Director Todd Phillips brings back his great cast--Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, and Ed Helms for another splendid exercise in debauchery--and its painful aftermath. And perhaps surprisingly, The Hangover Part II keeps the laugh levels high. While the element of surprise is not here in the sequel, writer Craig Mazin, Scot Armstrong, and Phillips have upped the shock factor, resulting in humor that's sometimes not exactly politically correct, but is fall-down funny anyway. In The Hangover Part II, Stu (Helms) is marrying a Thai-American woman (Jamie Chung), and the entire wedding party is flying to Thailand for the ceremony. Quicker than you can say "bachelor brunch," the boys are off on some kind of mystery adventure that results in some pretty serious, and pretty hilarious repercussions. (There's an unfortunate tattoo incident, one not easily covered up; there's an unexplained monkey--in a Rolling Stones shirt--now added to the entourage; and one of the group is missing.) The setup is familiar, but the ensemble of actors is so confident, their chemistry so easy, that the viewer enjoys their long, strange trip with bust-out-loud laughs. This time round, Alan (Galifianakis), Doug (Bartha), Phil (Cooper) and Stu (Helms) are jetting out to Bangkok for Stu's wedding to his Thai girlfriend (Jamie Chung). With the mortifying memories of Doug's bachelor party in Las Vegas forever etched in everyone's minds, Stu decides to play things safe. Surely nothing can go wrong with a sedate pre-wedding brunch... or can it? The supporting cast includes Liam Neeson and Juliette Lewis, while former president Bill Clinton makes a cameo appearance.

I watched this movie with expectation that it wasn't going to be very good. Although I was slightly more impressed than I expected, it really isn't great. If the first film had never existed, then part II would be better received because in effect, this is the same film.
Don't get me wrong; it's not boring, just not original. It's perfect for a Saturday night when all you want to do is relax and have a (bit of) a laugh. The acting is fine and the script is ok- it's just the fact that the plot is pretty much the same.
I just wish the original could have been left alone as I feel that the sequel has damaged part ones reputation a bit.

The sad truth is this isn't as funny as the first. The good news is that it is funny enough to warrant watching. The guys are having a stag night...again, and you can be assured it's going to be a big mistake. They wake up trying to piece together what happened and locate the grooms soon to be brother in law whom they seem to have misplaced. It's a wee bit far-fetched but with a drug dealing chain smoking monkey and a camp Chinese gangster called Mr Choi, they are assured that their antics are worse than last time. This includes the groom to be getting it on with a lady boy, someone losing a finger and a facial tattoo! Will they puzzle it out in time to get to the wedding? Will they all get there in one piece? Funny overall, a few LOL moments. Just love the Mike Tyson cameo at the end.

If youve seen the first one youll be disappointed by this its even bad on a hangover standard,the first one was great because it was so original but this is just a bad copy like a japanise copy of the honda

A very good follow up film. Still a lad's film on the surface but you can't help but laugh at the antics of these loveable characters. Good for all ages (over 15 of course).
