They've done it again! A recipe book which contains really tasty and delicious looking food - but also food which is healthy and will assist in losing weight. In their past books you wouldn't know that the food produced was 'diet' food and it looks to be the case with this book too. I'm really happy at the idea of being able to eat good food whilst trying to lose weight, and this book addressees this. It's a really good purchase in my opinion for anyone who likes food, likes cooking and wants to eat healthily or lose weight.
The chapters include breakfasts (yes, frittatas and pancakes can be healthy!), family favourites (includes pasta and rice dishes as well as others such as home made fish fingers), Friday night suppers (some great looking curries in this section, as well as other things such as samosas, and stir fry), weekend feasts (mainly meat based with chicken being a theme here), comfort classics (soup, stew, pilaf and others), veggie wonders (some really good Loki g vegetarian food in here, I can't wait to try the moussaka), sunshine food (spicy Moroccan soup looks really nice, there are other things such as burgers and salads etc), sandwiches, dips and snacks (self explanatory really, though there are lots of fresh new ideas in this chapter and it certainly will make me veer away from my usual fairly boring sandwiches) and finally there is sweet treats (cakes, biscuits, puddings - anyone with a sweet tooth will love this section!).
The book gives calories per portion, and they advise you to stick to the recipes if you want to stick to the calories!....
Overall, I'm really pleased with this book, and it has some really great recipes.
