Very informative book but potential buyers need to be aware that the text only covers weapons in use with a limited number of countries and only up to the 1970s. It`s interesting but way out of date and limited in it`s scope.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good and Comprehensive 30 May 2014

Good Book, quite comprehensive. Does a good job of giving a good thumbnail of a lot of guns A must have reference for a serious gun enthusiast/collector. This could almost be a great series. Just split it into gun genres and elaborate a little more on each gun description. I don't know if the market is there, but not all gun owners are illiterate!

Title says it all. The information was interesting and fairly extensive for the countries covered but without an index (Kindle version) it's too difficult to find specific info.
