Product Description

Review

'A complex and fast-paced conspiracy thriller of Old Norse myth, Ancient Egyptian superstition and Christian secret societies.  With codes, runes, hidden maps, archaic symbols, it's a treat for all fans of Steve Berry, Raymond Khoury and Dan Brown!'

(Kate Mosse, author of LABYRINTH )

Product Description

In the year 1013, Viking warriors raided an Egyptian tomb and unknowingly stole the greatest secret of the Old Testament.

When a quirky archaeologist finds ancient Viking parchments containing runes and riddles, his mundane life is changed for good. These codes lead him on a quest for clues in mysterious places, from Egyptian tombs to antiquarian bookshops.

Powerful forces are against him, but he manages to unveil a religious cover-up with potentially fatal consequences.

I highly recommend this book! Tom Egeland is one of the best authors I've come across in this genre for a long, long time. It's gripping, intelligent, fast-paced entertainment at its very best - and extremely well written on top. All the characters are very believable, especially the main charcater is a completely joy, the plot complex and intricate and the pace breathtaking without detracting from the story.

If you ever need a good read, here's your book. I hope there will be many more Tom Egeland books published in the near future.

Quite a good page turner, but although full of interesting accurate details, some of the story a bit far fetched regarding ease of crossing country borders. The book is a good read, and the author has a brilliant insight into historical accuracy and geographical details, I would recommend the books for a good holiday read.

Ok'ish.Getting a bit fed up of the same content in several of these types of thrillers. Wish someone would come up with a new idea.
