Whilst Brendan Gleeson is on top form in this wonderful little movie, it is some of the minor periphary characters that give the movie its heart and soul. Some truly offbeat, wonderfully stupid and politically-incorrect individuals, with some truly spectacular language populate this quiet and calm part of the world. Mark Strong's philosophical musings about an occupation in the international drug-smuggling arena are particularly hilarious.
All-in-all a wonderfully offbeat experience that will have you grinning from ear to ear. However, if you are aversed to foul language - stay clear. You have been warned.

International drugs gang come to sleepy rural island and FBI need local police support to help tackle them.
Funny, funny dialogue throughout, lovely pace and deadpan delivery from Gleeson.
Strong movie that stands out for itself rather than any accompanying razzmatazz.
Watch & enjoy.

Just saw this at the cinema. I laughed out loud. I appreciated the characters. I have written the first ever review of a film on this site. I will be recommending this to other people. Need I say more?
It's low budget, swears a lot, and very very non pc - but a good film none the less.
I will buy it when it's on DVD. Definitely worth watching.
