This is a great idea for all the kids who love the Graffalo book. I got it for my daughter last xmas and she loves it. She can play act the characters and she now knows all the words by heart! The only downside is its a little fiddly for a 4 year old and the characters can fall off easily.

The Gruffalo Pop-up Theatre Book
My grandson's love of the Gruffalo story and my own love of theatre, led me to choose this book for Christmas. At four and a half, he has been to several theatre shows so he was familiar with the stage set up and we gave his parents a performance of our show after three rehearsals! I narrated the story, he and my husband worked the characters on opposite sides of the stage. It worked well but I feel that the 'sticks'into which the characters were inserted to be manipulated on the stage, could have been better thought out. We needed one more than was provided, and there was a tendency for them to fall out of the slot in the 'stick'. That said it was a lot of fun.

This book is truely delightful. The beautiful presentation not only makes it a delight for the to young read and play with but is also quality enough to be cherished and handed on to future generations.
