This is an incredibly poor product.
It has clearly been made on the cheap to satisfy a large profit for author and manufacturer. I am appalled that the author has exploited our love of her story to allow Paul Lomond games to produce this unplayable mess.
The main problem is that the counters are so lightweight that they are constantly sliding around the creased vinyl surface. Why is the surface creased? Because it is a piece of plastic sheet which has been folded more than is good for its health, producing a constantly mountainous surface that said counters cannot possibly grip too. Maybe they should issue Gruffalo crampons as an accessory for this game.
A great idea disgracefully spoiled by greedy and shoddy design.
Hang your head in shame Julia Donaldson and Paul Lomond Games.
Cost me nearly 15 quid too...impulse purchase.

This Snakes and Ladders game is fun and can actually appeal to all ages. I gave it to a girl of nine as a xmas present and she loves it. In fact the whole family does!

THIS GAME IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY & UNPLAYABLE AS IT IS MADE FROM A VERY CHEAP FOLDED VINYL. THE COUNTERS ARE SO LIGHT WEIGHT THE FOLDS IN THE VINYL CAUSE IT TO MOVE OFF THE SQUARES. THIS SPOILS THE TOTAL ENJOYMENT OF THE GAME. SNAKES & LADDERS SHOULD BE A FUN & EDUCATIONAL GAME, NOT A FRUSTRATING WASTE OF TIME... MY ADVISE- DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ! BUY AN ALTERNATIVE VERSION OF THIS GAME.
