The Theraline Caesarean Belt is designed to protect, support and soothe in the weeks after the caesarean, allowing mothers to quickly resume normal daily activities with more confidence. It is made of stretchy fabric, the belt provides support with a pocket to hold additional inserts. A lightweight protective plastic shield protects the scar from accidental bumps and provides reassurance. The pillow insert can be used with the other inserts to enhance comfort and protection. In preparation for my C-section I bought this belt but wish I have never bothered with it. It is a nicely made quality item but I could not see the practical benefits of using the belt. I tired using it 1 day after the section - if you tighten it to much - it did hurt a lot. If you did not - it was of no benefit at all. I felt much better with just an ordinary pillow. I never used the heating or cooling bags that come with a belt as painkillers did the work and I did not need anything else. In a week time I was pretty much pain free and there was no need even for painkillers, so this belt never had a proper use.

Bought this for a friend who had a last minute caesarean and she recommended it to her antenatal group as a great purchase. We also then used it for my mother who was suffering from severe back pain - very useful. Only slight negative is that the warm insert doesn't stay warm for very long and has to be heated in a saucepan - would be easier if it could be put in a microwave.

From day 3 after my c section I wore this every time I moved. It has been fantastic to help manage the pain. I would recommend it to anyone who has a section.

Whilst the belt itself was perfect, due to the packaging the box was bent and crushed, which meant I couldn't give the product as a gift, as it was intended. Which was a shame.
