The official story of the race horse, Desert Orchid, written by his owner and scriptwriter. "Dessie" was bred by Richard's father who had bought his grandmother Grey Orchid as a hunter back in 1961. Since then he has gone on to capture the public's imagination with his striking appearance and remarkable success rate. His greatest success is his victory in the 1989 Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Excellent 4 April 2011

I was absolutely delighted with the quality & the service. The book was as new - I really couldn't believe it. I have seen books in High Street shops not in such good condition. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone. I just wish they had 'Desert Orchid Remembered'!

This book is an excellent story of the great horse deset orchid. It keeps you turning the pages. The photos are really good. Just one complaint. I wish they had some color photos in the book. The cover is in color. I highly recommend this book.
