If you are a fan of Alan Green as I am, this book will not dissapoint. As ever Alan is forthright and sometimes very blunt. His relationship with his fellow commentators is fascinating and he talks frankly about his rift with Fergie. Excellent book, well written and refreshingly honest.

Having enjoyed the bluntness of Alan Green's commantaries, I was looking forward to the expansion of his thoughts on football and the Olympics.

However apart from his thoughts on Alex Ferguson, this is generally mild and lacking in the bite you might expect. Alans career is the basis of how we move through the book, mostly Football but also Snooker and the Olympics.

I can't say I didn't like the book but I would have expected and am asking for more.

Greenie uncovered 1 Dec 2000
Format:Hardcover
Alan Green writes as he talks and describes his relationship with Sir Alec and Manchester United in general. Greenie is not one to hide his views and he shares his opinion on referees, managers and players. He also gives his views on Snooker, Rowing and Golf. An accidental sports reporter from Northern Ireland Green slates the BBC hierachy but gives us the reason he is not a television pundit. This is a good read - 4 stars -but it could have been better as he refuses to name names on his relationships with other 5-live presenters. Shame
