Product Description

Product Description

BrainBox is a fast and fun memory game that does not require any pens, pencils, paper, playing board or even a table! Each round takes 10 seconds so all players are involved. A game lasts as long as you want it to, 10 minutes is the norm, but playing for 5 minutes is great fun also. BrainBox is educational and is perfect for families and groups of friends to play, wherever they are, on a level-playing field. Packed in a sturdy cool magnetic cube box. BrainBox is ready to play without any set-up time needed. The rules are pretty straight forward. You can play solo or with as many people as you want. A player simply picks a card and studies it for 10 seconds before being asked a question from the back, chosen by the roll of a die. A correct answer means the card is kept, if not it is returned to the box. The player with most cards after 5 or 10 minutes wins! The winner may not be who you expect as this fabulous game is about observation and memory, not learned facts! BrainBox Nature has 53 cards with interesting facts on the world we live in from gemstones and reptiles to the river Nile and the Himalayas.

Product Description

Did you know that the giant sequoia is the tallest tree on Earth or that clouds are formed by billions of tiny ice crystals? BrainBox Nature is packed full of interesting facts about nature in 70 beautifully-illustrated cards. The object of the game is to study a card for 10 seconds and then answer a question based on the roll of a die. If the question is answered correctly, the card is kept and the person with the most number of cards after 5 or 10 minutes is the winner. This simple concept can be played by all ages and in large groups as well as a 1 person game. Made from a minimum of 70% recycled material and designed in the UK, the BrainBox range is fabulous fun. Find out who the BrainBox is in your family - it may not be who you think it is!

The Brain box games are brilliant. I bought the nature and the history ones for my 7 year old and he loves them.
I bought them based on other reviews and am very glad i did. As everyone else has said they are a great fun game for all ages that can take as much or as little time as you wish to play. Highly recommended, in fact I'm about to order some more!

My children are 7 and 10 and they both really liked this game and the World one. It made them think and also taught them new things so educational as well. Its really easy to play and something the whole family can take part in.

This is a good game for adults and children - I would recommend this as a present and will probably buy some more of the series.

This is the fifth game in the brian box series that I have got for my 8 year old son. He loves every one of them.

They are really informative. He loves sitting down and reading throught the cards, so he generally wins!

Great educational game. Suits older children (7+) but it's a game the whole family can enjoy. I don't think 10 seconds is enough to digest all the information on the cards, even for adults. So we set the time for 20 seconds for adults and about 30-40 seconds for the children.

I bought this game for my two grandchildren aged 8 and 10. We liked the simplicity of it, being able to play a game within five minutes of opening the box. The children enjoyed playing it, and a game can last as long as you want it to. It is educational, but does not depend on any previous knowledge, being more of a memory game, so younger children can compete with older ones without being at a great disadvantage. It is durable, colourful and attractive, and without the usual multiplicity of small parts that can get lost or swallowed. Bought another game from this series at the same time, and will probably buy more for other grandchildren. One little niggle, but serious enough to have a star deducted; I spotted one mistake on one of the cards (it's the one about clouds), which makes me wonder whether there may be other mistakes. In an educational game I think that getting facts right should be top priority.

Received it this morning. Haven't played it yet, but looks like a good educational game.

Unfortunately, when flicking through the cards I found one was damaged - scuffed up one side, obscuring some writing - making that particular card unplayable. It must have been damaged before/during packaging. Don't know whether it's Amazon's fault or the manufacturer.. Either way, it's a bit disappointing for what is supposed to be (and otherwise looks like) a new game. Don't think I'll post it back just cos of one defective card... more hassle than it's worth.

As good fun as a quiz book and equally good for adult use with children. Good family buy.
