5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Goth Heaven 31 May 2006
Format:Audio CD
I discovered Elusive when they were supporting The Mission in London last autumn. I got this album soon afterwards and I'm still playing it to death! This is goth at it's absolute best with heavy hints of both (ironically) The Sisters of Mercy and The Mission but with the fresh energy of today.

The first two tracks (Ride and End Of Trail) are mindblowing as are You, She's A River and Coming Home, You being my favourite. I must admit I'm not so keen on the slower tracks including the title track The Great Silence but I've given this album 5 stars anyway because the 5 tracks mentioned above are so brilliant.

I've now also got Destination Zero which is almost better than The Great Silence although the production isn't as good and these are two of my most played albums. GET THIS ALBUM NOW!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Imaginative Gothic Rock 11 Mar 2008
Format:Audio CD
I only heard this band a couple of days ago and I was very impressed with what I heard. There are lots of standout tracks which obvisouly is a great thing because I hate it when people give an album five stars just because of a couple of songs. Anyway the standout songs for me would be believe it or not is everything because their are no duff songs or fillers. The musianship is really excellent with a lot very memorable passages and truly great guitar work. I'm very glad I discovered this band, and their latest album is also worth checking out.
