This book was written by the physician who discovered PSA in 1970. In the book he documents the misuse of the PSA test, which has been used by Big Pharma and the medical system to treat many men unnecessarily and with many unfortunate consequences. The PSA test is not prostate cancer specific, so there are many false positives, leading to many unnecessary biopsies and treatments. Many deaths are also attributed to overzealous treatment of elevated PSA. Since prostate tumors are generally very slow growing, most men with prostate cancer will die of other causes. Even if one is diagnosed with prostate cancer, one can improve one's chances of survival by plant-based diets, exercise, and, perhaps, increasing vitamin D levels.
