Format:Audio CD
When two people from the same band embark on a separate project, the danger is that they stick to the same format as previously and the whole project becomes predictable. Fortunately, this is not the case here. Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh from Deacon Blue fame, embark on an acoustic journey across folk terrain and the results are quite good. Songs are well-structured and organic and vocally both singers compliment each other. This is a wecome diversion and what you get is a hybrid of Scottish Folk and a tinge of American Bluegrass. It's hard to pick a favourite as all tracks stand on their own merit on what is a thoroughly enjoyable album. It won't set the world alight but it is worthwile and a welcome addition to my CD collection.

I bought this album on the back of hearing the track 'All My Trust I Place In You' on Radio Scotland and I am very pleased that I did! The songs are great and the singing is lovely - I had forgotten how well their voices go together. One or two tracks are weaker than others but over the piece it is an album I will listen to over and over again.

Simply superb music and stunning vocals - I had read a review in 'The Scotsman' and it was spot on. I knew that this was a must have.
I tried the high steet record shops in Glasgow and Edinburgh without success, then Amazon turned up trumps.

When its good its good but when its not its awful...
Some of this album is great and works well. Their voices complement each other in the beautiful way we have come to expect and some of the tracks are inspired. Read more
