The Great Hunger 31 Jan 2012
By Jim Connolly - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
A masterwork of Irish history, beautifully documented. A powerful teaching on one of the darkest eras in Irish history. A scholarly work and a "must read" for the Irish and those who love them. The Great Hunger: Ireland: 1845-1849;The Great Hunger, Ireland 1845 - 1849, the Story of the Famine of the 1840's

The particular item was advertised as a collectible first edition and there is no indication that it is a first edition and the cloth cover was soiled and stained; the paper cover shows signs of wear.
