1.0 out of 5 stars bought for pub quiz 16 Mar 2014
By John
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
what a useless book.
many of the questions are poor.
even the quality of the English used for some of the questions is poor.
each question gets 4 answers - but some of the questions ask you to choose from 2 possible answers - so how can it then give you 4 possible answers?!?!
sorry but un-usable as it is

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing 28 Mar 2014
By Stephen
Format:Paperback
It's a poor book, full of mistakes, with little thought having gone into it. Not what I expected at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok, but contains mistakes 1 Jan 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The plusses: it contains a *lot* of questions, and the mixture of topics is good (although they're all about Britain, of course!)

But it's let down by lazy mistakes; some answers are plain wrong (for example, Quiz 22 contains the question, "Which Arthur wrote the children's classic 'Swallows and Amazons'?", and the answer is given as "Rackham" rather than "Ransome". Elsewhere, it asks questions in the vein of, "Is it A or B?", but then gives four answers, which seems illogical.
