I admit to being a little biased in this review. I know Fr. Miller personally and have been privileged to study under him. Furthermore, I have a strong devotion to the Cure of Ars. When I first heard that this book would be published, I waited in eager anticipation, knowing that it would be good. What I didn't expect is how powerful Fr. Miller's 10 reflections would be. This book needs to be in the hands of every seminarian and priest during this Year of Priests (maybe every permanent deacon as well). The book sets forth a path of renewal for the ministerial priesthood that is sorely needed in the Church today. However, this book is not just for priests. As a married layman and candidate for ordination to the permanent diaconate, I found this book to be spiritually enriching. I have walked away not only with a much deeper appreciation of the ministerial priesthood, but also with a profound understanding of my role in the royal priesthood of Christ by virtue of the Sacrament of Baptism. Without a doubt, this is one of the most practical and engaging spiritual works that I have read.
