Format:Hardcover
I came across this book when researching the Gothic. There have been better books, but this places the Gothic firmly in its context and is successful in highlighting its origins and influences. With chapters on Radcliffe, Walpole and German Romance influence, I'd say this criticsim isn't for the faint-hearted. A bit like the genre, really.
