Book Description

31 Mar 2000
Do the heavens that reveal God's glory also reveal His plan of salvation? Yes, says Joseph A. Seiss, who contemplated the strange figures of the Zodiac and studied the writings of astronomers through the ages. Drawing upon scientific, historical and biblical sources, Seiss assembles persuasive arguments supporting his thesis that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be seen in the stars. Illustrated.

5.0 out of 5 stars how do the stars tell the story of Jesus 19 Dec 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
very interesting book .you will never look at the night sky the same again . basically joseph a seiss tells us that the greek mythological zodiac and other neighbouring constellations (mazzaroth as job in the bible explains )have their real identity in the christian/hebrew gospel story , ie starting with virgo the virgin -mary and finishing with leo -Jesus the lion of the tribe of Judah. The constellations depict biblical episodes ie the battle of ophicus and hercules with the serpent hydra , the attacking scorpion scorpio and the great dragon draco are indeed the enemies of christ as spoken of in the bible . joseph unfolds the christian gospel starting at virgo with her decans moving through the zodiac with episodes and chapters which include showing libra as the scales of justice balanced , saggitarius being a type of jesus of 2 natures human and divine bringing a sacifice , of capricorn half fish and half goat as shown in greek mythology yet this cleary representing Jesus sacrifice to make believers into the new dual nature , of aquarius the giver of the water of life the holy ghost of pisces the church of jew and gentile .much more to say but you will have to read the book

5.0 out of 5 stars words have meanings 25 Nov 2001
By A Customer - Published on
Having read many books on this subject, including the book by D.James Kennedy, I consider this the best. It does in fact take into consideration the fact that the stars have moved since the ancient names were changed to the modern. Also the MIRRACLE IN STONE, BY SEISS, was in conjunction with his study of the Temple at Ein Gaihdi, which depects the ancient zodiac of about the time of the flood. The simple fact overlooked by Hunt is that in the ancient languages, the stars tell the gospel. And the original purpose of the materials he drew from were actually a study in lexiconography whose purpose was to prove the existence of an original language on earth,,,and only happened to lead to the larger realization that the mysteries were a corruption of the ancient zodiac, and not as is commonly believed, that christianity drew on mystery sources. This is a must read for the Christian.....

5.0 out of 5 stars The most highly trusted and authoritative source.... 29 July 2001
By A Customer - Published on
This book is certainly the most authoritative and trusted source on the subject of Biblical Astronomy. Having owned more than one copy of this text, as well as multiple copies of other manuscripts of this type(and having a background of Theological study), I can say without a doubt that this book is an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone interested in Biblical Astronomy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant Work Shows Traditional Views of Man Wrong 21 Nov 1998
By - Published on
I loved this book and think you will too. It shows that the original design of the cosmos created by a SUPERIOR MIND and Being told the story of mankind. Astrology is a cheap substitute for ancient truth. These ancient truths in no way conflict with the Scripture, rather they buttress it in many ways. An amazing work! I reviewed this work for a publication I edit.

4.0 out of 5 stars This ties in with research done on the Bethlehem star. 20 Feb 2008
By Jenny Lind - Published on
The book shows that the constellations were a prophetic prediction from the earliest times of the life and characteristics of Jesus. However, early Bablylonians corrupted the predictions into what we know as astrology. Psalm 19 says, "1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech;night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."

I want to refer readers to a site I discovered, [...], which gives information which lends credibility to this book. I recently studied the book of Daniel, and it is clear that the learned ancients understood the importance of celestial prophecy. We cannot even fathom the mind of God, however, the more we learn, the more we discover that the Scriptures are true.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for all Astonomers! 22 Jun 1998
By A Customer - Published on
If you study astonomy, professionally or as a hobby, and whether or not you are a Christian, read this book! Seiss shows substantial evidence for the constellations being established as the gospel story. If you believe astrology, read this and you'll find it's a perverted version of what was originally ordained by God. Many ancient pagan myths (Greek, etc.) were actually perverted from this proto-proto-gospel in the sky!
