"The Greatest Mountain In The World - Vintage Goons, Episode 2" (29th September 1958: NB: This episode was originally recorded in 1954 and re-recorded, with significant changes to the plot, as part of the Vintage Goons series) "The Kippered Herring Gang - Vintage Goons, Episode 5" (recorded 1 December 1957, not broadcast in the UK); "The First Albert Memorial to the Moon - Vintage Goons, Episode 14" (27 October 1958), "Robin's Post - Series 10, Episode 4" (14 January 1960). It includes four more classic episodes starring Peter Sellers, Harry Secombe and Spike Milligan.

If it isn't already, the Goon Show ought to be a religion and a compulsory core subject in the Curriculum for Excellence. This is our heritage, that which makes Britain great and we should never be allowed to forget it. May there be many more of these discs released!

This is the Goons, where alternative comedy started.. Milligan, Sellers and Secombe at their gloriest anarchic best.
