Product Description

Product Description

"The Good Food Baking Book for Dogs" contains more than 50 recipes for all-natural homemade treats for our canine companions. Although not everyone makes, or even buys, high-end food for their dogs, everyone loves to spoil their dogs with treats. However, "The Good Food Baking Book for Dogs" contains far more than simple dog-bone shaped peanut butter treats; it provides instructions for making over-the-top human-grade baked goods such as liver-and-cheese brownies, wheat-free liver-and-herb biscotti, and coconut-coated carob-crunch truffles. Unlike other pet books on the market, this book contains full-colour photos of all of the treats and adorable photographs of dogs doing what dogs do; thinking about food or eating food. This book is as much about the pampered-pooch lifestyle as the baking.

A great Little Book 19 Jun 2010

Great little book with great recipes for your dog to eat . They are very mouth watering. Even we humans could find the food to good to resist . They are lots of recipes from main meals to biscuits to party food. What more could a dog want.

Pawtastic Treat Book 24 July 2008
By Megan Campbell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a great doggie cook book. I live in Charlotte, NC and Barbara Burg owns and runs the K-9 Cafe in Charlotte's historic Southend.

This is the best and most yummy cook book, the doggie daiquiris yummy and human friendly as well. I have purchased this book and make yummy treats for my pups all the time. I have also given to my friends who love the doggie carrot cake. I recommend it highly to anyone who loves to bake and loves their dog.

Conflicted 20 Dec 2010
By Burgundy Damsel - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Deciding what rating to give this book left me a bit conflicted. Several of these recipes are excellent - healthy, simple, inexpensive and loved by every dog I've given them to. That alone seems to be plenty of reason to get your hands on this book.

Unfortunately, those shining stars comprise only a fraction of the book. Many of the recipes contain ingredients of impractical expense or questionable safety. I'm sure that my dog would love liver and salmon pates, but I doubt that I'm the only reader who finds such ingredients out of the budget for puppy treats. As for safety, a surprising number of the given recipes contain cheese and other dairy ingredients which dogs are not intended to digest. Although they probably won't do any harm in small amounts, I would not advocate making them a regular part of your pet's diet.

My ultimate suggestion is that you get your hands on a physical copy of this book, either through your library or a local bookstore, before you decide to buy. It's best to flip through it and discern for yourself whether it's useful and appropriate for your needs and your dog's diet.
