5.0 out of 5 stars The Indispensable Guide 27 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback
Carry this in your glove compartment, your rucksack or even your handbag and you won't go wrong when it's time to stop for food. It lists pubs by county, selected by readers and checked by the GPG team, which will provide you with a first class meal or snack or just a good beer. We've been following the Guide for quite some time now and it has not let us down. This 2010 edition updates the previous editions and adds new venues to try. It takes away the guesswork when you're on the road and away from familiar haunts. Well worth investing in a copy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ever-reliable pub-lication 9 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback
As always The Good Pub Guide incorporates a wealth of appealing hostelries based on great beers, hearty food, cosy ambience and warm atmospheres. There are pull-out cards that can be used to nominate pubs that aren't already included, as well as a 'lucky-dip' section for pubs not deemed worthy of a full listing. Overall this is an invaluable tome for all lovers of the great British pub.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Definitive independent Pub Guide 1 Dec 2010
Format:Paperback
There are concerns that the impartiality of future editions may be compromised if they charge fees for inclusion from 2012 onwards. Hopefully this will not happen but, in any case, the 2011 edition is as informative, independent and impartial as ever. I have contributed pub reviews from my area over the years and it is my bible when looking for a Good Pub on my travels; I have never been disappointed. Hopefully there will be an impartial 2012 Guide but if no at least I will have my 2011 Guide to refer back to.
